Senior Golang Developer

Position: Senior Golang Developer

Location: North York, ON (Hybrid, 3 days in office)

You’ll work closely with the CTO and have the chance to make a real difference by developing innovative solutions that support a great cause.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end backend development, building products from the ground up

- Develop and maintain APIs, ensuring scalability and performance

- Monitor and measure system performance, analyze metrics, and logs

- Collaborate with the team on data models, technical architecture, data flows, schemas, and API contracts

- Work with DevOps tools such as Kubernetes (K8), CI/CD pipelines, and GIT for seamless development and deployment

- Ensure robust security practices by writing vulnerability and regression tests

- Understand front-end interactions and how to integrate effectively with front-end systems

- Work with Python when needed and have a willingness to learn and adapt to different technologies

Requirements:

- At least 2 years of Golang development experience

- Strong understanding of cloud engineering and DevOps practices

- Experience with backend development, scripting, and creating scalable systems

- Proficiency with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and GIT

- Experience developing and integrating APIs

- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

- Background in Computer Science or Engineering (Bachelor’s degree required)

- Experience working in a startup environment is a plus

Bonus Skills:

- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and experience writing security tests

- Willingness to work with Python when necessary
