Data Analyst Intern

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Data Analyst Intern to join our team and support data-driven decision-making within Zoetis. This internship offers hands-on experience in data analysis, visualization, and business intelligence while contributing to real-world projects that enhance operational efficiency and business performance.

While prior experience with Power BI or other visualization tools is not essential, familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools can be beneficial for success in this role.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from multiple sources.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide solutions.
• Create compelling data visualizations using tools like Excel or Power BI to communicate insights effectively.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support ongoing business initiatives.
• Support the development and optimization of data workflows to improve efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry best practices in analytics and data visualization.

Candidate Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with experience handling large datasets.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, R, or similar tools for data analysis.
• Experience with Power BI (preferred but not required).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
• Detail-oriented, with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of data analytics.

Travel Requirement

• Occasional business travel within Ireland / UK as part of work placement programme and will be organised by Zoetis on your behalf.

Duration

This is a 12-months intern contract

Compensation

• This role will have an annual salary of €25,000
