The successful candidate will have a good understanding of QA methodologies, supported by hands-on experience with automated testing platforms. She or he will be organized, will have good communication skills but also a solid technical background.
Experience & Technical Skills
Windows Server
- Proficient in the installation and configuration of various Windows Server versions.
- Experienced in managing server roles and features such as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
MDT and SCCM
- Skilled in MDT Configuration, including installing and customising Task Sequences.
- Capable of SCCM Configuration, focusing on setting up and troubleshooting Task Sequences for OS deployment automation.
Scripting
- Expertise in PowerShell for task automation and configuration management.
- Proficient in developing and maintaining Batch Scripts.
Networking
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, and their impact on server implementations.
Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
- Proven ability to resolve issues in MDT/SCCM, including driver management and software compatibility challenges.
- Proficient in analyzing logs to identify and resolve problems.
Drivers and Hardware Compatibility
- Experienced in integrating and managing drivers for diverse hardware configurations.
- Knowledgeable about ensuring hardware compatibility with Windows Server requirements.
Security
- Competent in applying security policies and configuring firewalls.
- Skilled in managing patches and security updates for servers and desktops.
Documentation and Change Management
- Ability to create clear, detailed documentation of processes and configurations used for OS image creation.
- Familiarity with implementing changes following established approval processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement customized OS solutions using MDT and SCCM.
- Automate and optimize OS deployment processes through scripting.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to imaging and deployment.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and manage updates effectively.
- Document processes thoroughly and collaborate with teams to drive continuous improvements.
