Full stack Developer

ACROM is looking for a versatile and experienced Developer who will be taking over the development of a core application that is used for remotelly upgrading proprietary application software of thousands of

restaurant devices aroung the globe. The person will assume full ownership of the app, from requirements gathering, design decisions, development, testing, production releases and training of the end-users of the app.

Abilities, Skills & Knowledge

Solid track record of classic web-app develpment (PHP/MySQL, JS/JQUERY, HTML/CSS)
Good knowledge of windows-based scripting languages (batch, powershell)
Good knwoneldge of Apache/PHP/MySQL environment setup/configuration
Knowledge with System Administration of Window environment (including Windows Servers)
Good English language - spoken/written
Working independently, flexibility and willingness to adopt, learn and use any other software development/scripting languages as the situation may demand
Ability to multi-task/work on concurrent projects, interest in learning new technologies as the context/clients may demand
Willing and ability to participate in other, concurrent, application development projects, as needed

Graphical design & UX skills
Knowledge of other languages (C#, Python, C++, TypeScript)
Knowledge of other frameworks (Node.JS, Vue.JS, Laravel, Angular, Bootstrap)
Knowledge of any of the following: CI/RA frameworks like Jenkins, VBA scripting, Bootstrap

Day To Day Job

Meet with various stakeholders to understand the proprietary application release roadmaps
Discuss with deployment team members and gain feedback on how to improve the deployment app.
Gather, centralize, refine requirements and add them into product backlog
Participate into daily team stand-up meetings (agile development)
Develop deployment/upgrade scripts
Test deployment/upgrade scripts in lab environments
Create specific documentations for stakeholders and deployment team
Design quality UI/UX
Write quality code (app/scripts)
Refactor existing code to improve readability and maintenability
Work with QA team to ensure that the app is properly tested in a dedicated test environment
Work with version-control software
Generate code releases, document such releases appropriately
Notify stakeholders of upcoming releases, maintenance windows and product changes
Perform deployment app upgrade/migration to production environment
Train deployment team on the usage of the app to deploy new proprietary application software
Assist (remotelly) the deployment team with market-labs configuration/testing of deployments. Adjust app/scripts to on-the-fly to resolve any local market specific setting, if any
L4 Support on the deployment app itself for the deployment team
Troubleshoot remote upgrade failures/incidents and develop fixes
Maintenance of the production and test environment for the app, including DB backup schedules, DB backup restoration verification, server cleanup/maintenance, OS patching, etc. )
Participate in other application development projects with other team members, as needed
