About the opportunity

The IaaS Product team (Infrastructure as a Service) delivers secure, highly available Linux infrastructure alongside teams providing Windows, VMware, Cloud IaaS and PaaS, Server and Storage.

• Solve problems and learn something every day with a collaborative team that support each other.
• Ability to troubleshoot and work within a team of 6 engineers.
• Opportunity of partaking in training courses to uplift your technical skills.

About you

You will be an experienced, versatile, motivated IT professional with relevant qualifications and a strong background in Linux server management and automation.

Demonstrated technical leadership, a desire to learn and explore, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of clients in written and oral form. You will enjoy working and leading in a team-oriented environment, actively leading and engaging in sharing ideas, solutions and expertise.

You will

• Be comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Appreciate flexible work-from-home options, with a 60% onsite / 40% remote work split.

Qualifications

• Redhat Enterprise Linux and associated support tools and technologies or similar.
• Orchestration of deployment and configuration by code (e.g. Ansible, DevOps, Terraform or similar)
• Programming and development skills in Python. Golang also highly valued.
• Programming and scripting skills applied to automation and solution development
• Experience in design and administration of Kubernetes solutions
• Experience delivering in cloud
• Proficient at architecting and communicating solutions to a team of technical staff.
• Experience working in an agile methodology and culture

This is a continuing opportunity based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.

HEW 8 Salary - Base range - $113,713.03 - $127,923.91 + 17% super. Full package range - $133,044.24 - $149,670.97.
