Contract Type: Freelance

Location: Porto, Portugal (Hybrid/Remote options available)

Rate: €450/day

This exciting organisation are currently seeking a skilled React Developer to join their growing development team and help build cutting-edge digital products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable, and scalable React applications.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend developers to create seamless, user-friendly web experiences.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Optimise applications for maximum performance and scalability across various devices and browsers.
• Implement unit and integration tests to ensure high code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure the application architecture is robust and scalable.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development, React, and web technologies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a React Developer or in a similar front-end development role.
• Strong knowledge of React.js, JavaScript, and modern front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, ES6+).
• Experience with Redux for state management, React Router, and other modern React tools.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with front-end applications.
• Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Webpack, Babel, and NPM/Yarn.
• Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Enzyme, or React Testing Library is a plus.
• Knowledge of Git and version control practices.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal). Portuguese is a plus but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Next.js or other server-side rendering frameworks.
• Familiarity with TypeScript.
• Experience in a Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) or CI/CD pipelines.
