Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and driven Masters’ Student or Graduate to join our Property & Casualty team in our Zurich office as a working student for the remainder of their studies or as a graduate/intern for a period of 6 months, preferably starting in March or April 2025. The preferred workload for the working student position would be 60% while the graduate position would be full time.

To be an ideal candidate you have a strong interest in the (re-)insurance industry & capital markets. The focus is on the creation of client insights to derive convincing hypotheses for business generation.

About The Team:

We offer an international environment where you will be challenged, can learn from senior specialists and are exposed to multiple lines of business. You will be working with both Marketing & Business Intelligence as well as the Specialty Casualty Underwriting team. Our structure fosters collaboration with various stakeholders in different locations as the teams are spread across multiple continents.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed analyses on client financials and explore strategic needs
  • Develop high quality analytics and client related presentation materials
  • Collaborate with senior employees on client opportunities and market initiatives
  • Support our underwriting teams with analysis of complex international insurance portfolios
  • Work closely with functional areas including Underwriting and Client & Broker Management.

Qualifications

  • University degree (pending/accomplished) preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Actuarial or Data Science, Math, or related fields
  • Relevant experience in (re)insurance, consulting, broking, financial advisory or banking
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance with exposure to financial analytics and data modelling
  • Highly motivated, ability to think independently and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player with an intercultural mindset and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, experience with VBA and SNL is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills in English (pre-requisite) and other languages (preferred)
  • You are either an EU or Swiss citizen or entitled to work in Switzerland
