We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our IT Underwriting Non-Life Unit, which is part of the Group IT department and responsible for all applications in the underwriting area (Pricing & Modeling, Capacity & Exposure Management, Portfolio Management & Optimization).


About the role

Your responsibilities and tasks will be as follows:

  • Software Design and Development
  • In cooperation with the Business Experts, Study information needs, system flows, data usage and work processes
  • Investigating problem areas
  • Produce the required documentation (screen layout, business rules and other documentation)
  • Develop and maintain software applications
  • Define and execute unit and regression tests, as well as user support during acceptance tests
  • Ensure functionality and performance
  • Prepare the installation of the solutions including the CI/CD pipelines
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Provide second level support
  • Conduct systems analysis and recommend changes


About you

You hold a university degree in Computer Science or equivalent, and bring at least 5 years of experience. Furthermore, your profile is surrounded by the following skills and strengths:

  • Proficiency in .NET programming (C#, WPF), MS SQL Server (T-SQL), Angular
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools, particularly in Azure
  • Familiar with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines
  • Highly motivated to understand our business processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and language skills in English (proficient verbal and in writing), as you will interact with the IT and the Business community on a daily basis
  • High motivation and capable of working in a challenging international environment in across location teams
  • Ability to work effectively both within a team and also independently
