Our client is a start-up in the energy sector based in Brussels, in order to keep their growth, we are currently looking for a Junior Python Developer/Programmer (m/f) to join their technical team:
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and Maintenance: Assist in writing, testing, and maintaining Python code for various applications, including web applications, automation scripts, and backend services.
- Collaborate with Senior Developers: Work closely with senior developers to understand project requirements, assist in solution design, and help implement features and bug fixes.
- Learning and Skill Development: Continuously learn and apply best practices in Python programming, testing, and version control.
- Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to improve your coding skills and ensure the quality of the codebase.
- Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues in applications, ensuring they are resolved quickly and efficiently.
- Documentation: Write clear and concise documentation for code, processes, and systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic Python Knowledge: Strong understanding of Python programming fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
- Frameworks and Libraries: Experience or willingness to learn popular Python frameworks and libraries such as Flask, Django, or others. Working experience with React would be a real plus.
- Version Control: Basic experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Databases: Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB), and an understanding of SQL.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to break down problems and develop logical, efficient solutions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and learn from more experienced developers.
- Fluency in English
Soft Skills:
- Strong willingness to learn and grow.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality code.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative while being open to feedback and mentorship.
- Eagerness to collaborate and contribute to team success
- Able to work on-site 3 days per week in Brussels South
