Full Stack Engineer

Background:

• This investment targets the move from legacy to the cloud. Specifically, it targets an existing legacy solution, the sales locations management app. This solution is part of legacy MHS (MobelHaus System) and runs on legacy technology at each and every store. Part of the FMS transformation is to replace MHS with a cloud solution.
• SLM is a pre-requisite for such transformation to take place. As the timeline for FMS enters into its peak, the current SLM team is busy with global rollout and further assistance to FMS. This solution is part of FC&S, in the subdomain fulfilment planning.
• The outcome of this investment is a mobile version of the SLM app that is going to be used by the many co-workers at the store. The mobile app will work on RDT mobile devices and regular smartphones. The current legacy solution in use at the store is suboptimal and not compatible with FMS. The benefit of this investment is that both sales and fulfilment co-workers will be able to quickly scan an item and know where it should be placed in the store. Not only this, but they will also be able to quickly unassign, assign or edit the assigned quantity of a certain item while on-the-go. This is much more efficient than taking a note and going to a desktop computer to make the change.

Requirements:

• The team needs a full-stack senior engineer who is able to move from frontend to backend.
• Demand: mobile-first frontend exp, cloud-native experience, react, typescript, css, java (spring boot or Quarkus), SQL & databases, microservice
• Desire: Kubernetes, terraform, legacy system to microservice migration experience, product driven development mindset
• The ideal candidate is able to work independently and is curious to learn new things. Ideally, they have a conspicuous experience in the required technologies and a positive "can do" attitude.
