Junior Java Developer – Glasgow

12 Month onsite contract – Banking

We’re looking for a team of Junior Backend Engineers with JAVA (JDK17) with commercial experience across all stages of software development. You’ll have strong back end development skills and be able to work on multiple projects, from maintenance and code integrity to designing and launching new features.

Key Skills:

• Certified on JDK 17
• Java 11 and above
• Understanding of Java EE architecture - EJBs, JPA, and JAX-RS web services
• Object-oriented JavaScript - DOM and JSON
• RESTful web services
• Automation Test scripts using Selenium / Cucumber
• SQL and RDBMS database design
• JDBC, Microservices, Spring Framework
• Code versioning tools - Git, Mercurial or SVN

This role is working with a leading US Investment Bank, 5 days onsite on Glasgow (non-negotiable) and will be an initial 12 month contract, with further opportunities for the successful hires.
