About the Role:

One of the roles we are recruiting for is a Senior Java Engineer - someone who can contribute to the future of our platform as we transition from third-party development to an internal, high-performing engineering team.

As a Senior Java Engineer, you'll work closely with the Technical Team Lead, CTO and cross-functional team to guide tech decisions and DevOps strategies and ensure our AI-powered platform scales efficiently. You'll also bring all your experience into the company to influence the right processes and rituals to ensure a successful delivery of the product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Strategy: Collaborate with the CTO and tech leads to define the long-term technical strategy, making critical decisions around cloud infrastructure (AWS) and scalability.
• Agile Development: Manage and refine agile practices, ensuring rapid hypothesis testing, iterations, and continuous product evolution.
• Platform Development: Contribute to the development of scalable backend systems, ensuring high performance and adaptability across multiple verticals (travel, retail, etc.).
• DevOps and CI/CD: Build and enhance continuous integration and deployment pipelines, adopting best practices in DevOps to ensure robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other key stakeholders to align technical goals with business objectives.

Expectations in the First 3-12 Months:

• First 3 Months: Contribute to the seamless transition from third-party to internal development. Take ownership of key parts of the toolchain and begin implementing a refined CI/CD pipeline. Deep dive into the GTM strategy and align engineering goals with business priorities.
• By 12 Months: You’ll have established a strong DevOps framework and led key product evolutions across multiple verticals.

What We’re Looking For:

Must Haves:

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer with expertise in Java.
• Experience in containerised deployments in Docker and AWS infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills (open & transparent), passion for problem-solving, and a drive to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with AI-driven products, AdTech, or data-driven platforms.
• Experience in working with B2B2C ecosystems and content products.
