Computer Aided Design Technician

SciPro are supporting a global Pharmaceutical client in their search for a CAD Technician to join them on a 12 month contract, based on site in Dublin.

The Role

• Develops design concepts; prepares documents during the design development phase.
• Develops solutions to design problems.
• Uses computer-aided design technologies to develop sketches, drawings, and construction documents.
• Reviews drawings and documents to ensure compliance with company design and production standards.
• Attends pre-bid meetings and assists the project team in evaluating commercial proposals.
• Works with equipment suppliers/vendors to obtain the necessary information needed for design completion.
• Routinely archives and retrieves data from electronic databases for support of work.
• Research equipment selection from catalogues under the direction of the Project Designer/Engineer.
• Ensures acceptable levels of quality and checks for coordination of work to ensure documents reflect design intent and necessary coordination.
• Attends job and construction meetings and participates in the coordination of the work.
• Research non-routine code issues and obtains interpretations from code officials.
• Provides limited contribution to performance reviews for assigned staff.

Requirements

• Proficient in the use of computers for design and understanding CAD operations.
• General knowledge of mechanical and electrical system design.
• Customer Service experience exhibiting strong oral and written communication skills.
• Life Sciences experience.
