Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join a leading banking client in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating Agile delivery, managing stakeholder expectations, coordinating across multiple teams, and ensuring successful execution of projects within a complex banking environment.
This role requires an individual who is highly proactive, an excellent communicator, and experienced in delivering technology projects using Agile methodologies within large enterprise organisations. Banking or Financial Services experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Coach Agile teams on Scrum principles and Agile best practices.
- Remove impediments and enable teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, Product Owners, delivery managers, and technical teams.
- Coordinate activities across multiple Agile teams and manage cross-team dependencies.
- Proactively identify delivery risks, issues, and blockers, driving timely resolution.
- Track sprint progress, team velocity, and delivery metrics using Agile tools.
- Support release planning and ensure alignment between business priorities and delivery objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
- Provide regular delivery updates and reports to senior stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile delivery environments.
- Proven experience in Banking or Financial Services.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong coordination and planning skills across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience identifying and managing risks, dependencies, and delivery issues.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Agile frameworks, and SDLC.
- Experience working with distributed and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master certification.
- Experience working on enterprise-scale digital transformation or regulatory programmes within banking.
- Knowledge of Agile metrics, release management, and continuous improvement practices.
