Job Title: UI Designer

Years of Experience: 3-5 years

Work Mode: Work from Office

Location: Mangaluru

About The Role

We are looking for a Mid-Level UI Designer to join the Facility & Energy Management (FM & EMS) team at EG India. In this role, you will translate product direction from Product Owners into polished, production-ready interfaces.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently within a structured design system, collaborating directly with front-end developers, and driving a potential platform redesign using EG's cross-platform design system.

Responsibilities

Core UI Delivery

• Build UI screens and component compositions using the EG’s design system and Figma component libraries
• Prepare developer-ready Figma handoffs with accurate specs, tokens, and annotations
• Work closely with front-end developers to ensure implementation fidelity
• Translate PO-defined requirements and research outputs into viable UI solutions
  
  

Platform Redesign Opportunity

• Contribute to a potential redesign ny migrating legacy UI to Structured components
• Scope and prioritise UI improvements with input from POs
• Identify design debt and propose a phased upgrade approach aligned with development capacity
  
  

Collaboration & Communication

• Present UI work clearly to stakeholders, including POs, developers, and leadership
• Participate in design reviews and iteration cycles with the product team
• Document design decisions and maintain design files to EG standards
  
  

Required Skills

Must-Have

• 3–5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio of shipped product work
• Proficiency in Figma, components, auto layout, variables, and prototyping
• Experience working with a design system or component library
• Solid understanding of UI patterns, information hierarchy, and interaction design
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present and defend design decisions to non-designers
• Comfortable handing off directly to developers and iterating on feedback
  
  

Good to Have

• Experience designing for technical or enterprise B2B products (Facility management, Energy or Industrial Solutions)
• Familiarity with design tokens and token-based theming workflows
• Exposure to multi-framework design systems
• Understanding of accessibility principles in UI design
• Prior experience in a GEC model, working across distributed product teams
  
  

Portfolio Requirements

• Your portfolio should demonstrate:
• End-to-end UI work, from brief/requirement to final handoff
• Component-level thinking, use of design systems, reusable patterns
• Stakeholder-facing presentation or documentation of design rationale
• At least one complex, data-rich, or technical product (dashboards, workflows, enterprise tools preferred)
