We're looking for a detail-oriented Game QA Tester who is passionate about delivering high-quality player experiences.
This role goes beyond finding bugs. You'll work closely with designers, engineers, and producers to validate new features, identify quality risks early, and help ensure every release meets a high standard before it reaches players.
If you enjoy breaking games, thinking like a player, and improving gameplay through structured testing and insightful feedback, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Participate in feature and requirement reviews, providing feedback on design quality, implementation feasibility, and potential risks
- Analyze game requirements and design documentation to develop test plans, test cases, and testing strategies
- Execute functional, regression, compatibility, and performance testing across game features
- Identify, reproduce, document, classify, and prioritize bugs while working closely with developers to drive timely resolutions
- Verify bug fixes through regression testing and ensure delivered features meet quality standards
- Utilize QA tools such as packet capture software, version control systems, log analysis tools, and debugging utilities to support testing
- Monitor product quality throughout development, proactively identifying quality, process, and schedule risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve development workflows and product quality
- Provide constructive feedback on gameplay, player experience, game balance, and monetization from a player's perspective
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of Game QA experience with the ability to independently own end-to-end feature testing
- Passion for games with strong knowledge of gameplay systems, player experience, progression, and monetization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to evaluate whether features meet established quality standards before release
- Clear communication skills and experience working closely with designers and engineers in an iterative development environment
- Familiarity with common QA methodologies, bug tracking systems, and game development workflows
Nice to Have
- Experience with performance testing, compatibility testing, API testing, or test automation
- Experience working on SLG (Strategy) games or a strong understanding of the genre
- Familiarity with packet capture tools, version control systems, debugging tools, or scripting for QA
- Experience supporting live game operations, feature updates, or content releases
