Role Description This is a full-time, remote Cyber Security Analyst role based in UAE. The Cyber Security Analyst will monitor security events and alerts, investigate potential threats, and respond to incidents across applications, networks, and endpoints. The role includes performing vulnerability assessments, supporting penetration testing activities, and assisting in remediation planning with engineering and operations teams. The analyst will review logs, conduct malware investigations, and maintain security tooling such as SIEM, EDR, and intrusion detection systems. Additional responsibilities include contributing to security policies and procedures, preparing reports for stakeholders, and supporting audits, risk assessments, and user awareness initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong Cybersecurity and Application Security skills, including familiarity with secure development practices and common vulnerabilities.
- Hands-on experience in Network Security, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation principles.
- Proficiency in Malware Analysis and threat investigation, with the ability to interpret indicators of compromise and respond effectively.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex security data, correlate events, and prioritize risks.
- Experience working with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and other security monitoring and incident response tools.
- Understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls) and best practices for risk management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, GSEC, CISSP, or equivalent are advantageous.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and work effectively in an on-site environment.
