Job Title: Data Governance & Access Management Consultant (IAM)

Duration: Initial contract until 31/12/2026

Workload: Full time hours

Setup: Freelance (Daily rate / Limited Company / Umbrella / Sole Trader)

Location: Brussels, Belgium

We are supporting a private banking client modernising its data platform and governance capabilities, with a strong focus on access management and secure data integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and optimise data governance frameworks aligned to regulatory and banking standards
• Design and manage access control models (IAM/PAM) across data platforms
• Support integration between data governance tools and core data platforms
• Collaborate with internal teams and external delivery partners to accelerate programme delivery
• Contribute to data platform modernisation initiatives, including tooling and process improvements
• Ensure best practice around data security, compliance and auditability

Must-Have Skills:

• Proven experience in Data Governance within financial services
• Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and/or Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Hands-on experience with data platforms (e.g. cloud or enterprise data environments)
• Experience working with external vendors/consultancies
• Understanding of regulatory and security frameworks in banking

Nice-to-Have:

• Exposure to data governance suites/tools (e.g. Collibra, Alation, Informatica)
• Experience with platform modernisation programmes
• Familiarity with tools or environments such as Epic (or similar enterprise systems)
• Background in short-term consulting engagements
