TriLite Technologies
Austria · Full-time · Associate

Build the products that define next-generation display technology.

We are the technology leader in designing and building LBS display systems — outperforming competition in size, power consumption, brightness, and image quality.

At TriLite, MEMS mirror technology is at the heart of our LBS display systems — shipping into automotive and consumer AR products with leading international customers. As part of our product engineering team, you will own the integration, qualification, and production transfer of MEMS mirror modules from first hardware to volume-ready builds

Your Role & Impact

You are a systems engineer who thrives close to hardware and measures success by product milestones — not papers or prototypes. You bring control systems expertise, firmware integration skills, and a hands-on mindset to drive MEMS mirror modules from DVT through PVT to production readiness.

Tasks

Your Responsibilities

  • Own MEMS mirror bring-up, integration, and qualification across product build phases (DVT → PVT → MP)

  • Perform firmware integration at parameter, register, and settings level within Linux-based and MCU bare-metal architectures

  • Develop and optimize closed-loop control implementations (PID) for MEMS mirror systems

  • Develop calibration processes and hand off repeatable, scalable routines suitable for volume production

  • Characterize MEMS mirror performance against product specification targets; document results for gate readiness

  • Improve automatic bring-up routines to reduce integration time and increase yield

  • Use simulation as a validation tool to support release sign-off within product build gates

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, optics, and systems teams to ensure robust product integration

Requirements

Your Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Informatics, or related field with sensor/actuator background

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in sensor/actuator integration, control loop implementation, and/or firmware programming

  • Solid understanding of closed-loop control systems, PID controllers, and system-level integration

  • Practical experience with MATLAB and/or Python for modeling and validation

  • Programming skills in C/C++ for firmware-level integration

  • Structured, results-oriented working style with strong problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional product teamsFluent English; German is a plus

Benefits

Why Join TriLite?

  • Direct impact on products shipping to leading international automotive and AR customers

  • Dynamic, international team with flat hierarchies and real ownership

  • Cutting-edge technology environment without the bureaucracy of large corporations

  • Strong learning and development culture tailored to your strengths

  • Modern headquarters in central Vienna (1040)

  • Flexible working hours and home office option

  • JobRad bicycle program and gym membership

  • Regular company and team events

Compensation & Legal

  • Minimum salary: €51,156.70 gross/year (Austrian collective agreement, metal industry)

  • Actual salary determined individually based on qualifications and experience

  • Valid Austrian work permit required
