This 12-month contract suits a hands-on Cyber GRC Analyst who enjoys practical governance, risk and compliance work across a mature security environment. You will support policy adoption, awareness training, audit coordination and remediation tracking, working closely with technology and business stakeholders.
The role is best suited to someone confident translating security obligations into clear controls and helping teams improve day-to-day cyber compliance outcomes. Melbourne-based candidates are preferred for hybrid delivery across teams and locations nationally.
About the role
- Support the business in understanding and applying cyber security policies, standards and control requirements.
- Help identify gaps between current practices and policy obligations, then translate these into practical actions.
- Assist with policy exception management, tracking and reporting across business and technology teams.
- Coordinate security awareness and training activities, including content, scheduling and completion tracking.
- Support internal and external audit preparation, evidence gathering, findings tracking and remediation coordination.
- Contribute to broader GRC activities, including risk assessments, reporting, supplier reviews and compliance uplift.
About you
- Solid understanding of cyber GRC fundamentals, including governance, risk, compliance and control frameworks.
- Practical experience supporting cyber security policy adoption across business or technology environments.
- Experience assisting with audit activities, evidence collection, remediation tracking and status reporting.
- Comfortable engaging with IT and non-IT stakeholders, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of ISO 27001, Essential Eight or similar security frameworks.
- Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and contribute effectively within a collaborative team.
- Australian or New Zealand Permanent Resident or Citizen.
