Ventia has over 35 years experience working with Defence and has been delivering Firefighting Services for 26 years. With a new contract awarded in 2024 for 6 years and up to two additional 2 year extensions - now is the time to join Ventia’s dedicated Fire Services Team.

We Are Currently Seeking a Firefighter To Join The Fire And Rescue Operations At RAAF Base Gingin In WA. Duration Of Shifts Are As Follows:

Monday to Thursday - 0800 – 1700hrs Friday - 0800 – 1500hrs

About The Role

This exciting position will see you work as part of a team of Firefighters who are responsible for responding to incidents including airfield, structural and bushfire management.

You will perform duties as directed by the Station Officers including but not limited to:

• Maintaining operational readiness in accordance with relevant procedures.
• Ensuring that all relevant administrative duties associated with operational duties are performed.
• Complying with operational health and safety requirements.
• Undertaking training and drills as required to maintain operational readiness.
  
  

Special Conditions:

To be eligible for this role, you must be able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance up to a level of negative vetting 1 (secret). As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen, be able to pass an Australian Federal Police check and the ability to successfully pass a CASA Basic Class 2 pre-employment medical.

About You

You must supply evidence of the following qualifications with your application. (Only complete applications will be assessed). The following minimum qualifications are required:

• PUA20622 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
• PUA30619 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
• Hold a current HR drivers' licence
