Java Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Java Developer based in Australia.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and related frameworks.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs to support internal and external system integrations.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and design patterns.
• Work with relational databases to design schemas, write queries, and optimize data performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and/or Spring MVC frameworks.
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software design patterns.
• Strong experience working with SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Familiarity with Git and modern version control workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in team-oriented environments.
