We're growing rapidly and are looking for a talented Full Stack Developer with strong backend expertise to help scale our platform, optimize performance, and support the next generation of our products.

The Role

We are seeking a hands-on developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges across cloud infrastructure, backend systems, APIs, and mobile integrations.

You'll work closely with our product, hardware, and software teams to build and maintain the systems that power our mobile apps, web applications, and connected devices.

This role is based in Braeside, Victoria, Australia. Applicants must be located within commutable distance.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting our mobile and web applications.
• Work across the full technology stack where required, contributing to both frontend and backend development.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability within AWS environments.
• Manage and improve cloud infrastructure across multiple AWS services and regions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance system performance and availability.
• Implement AWS cost optimization strategies and infrastructure best practices.
• Manage AWS email services and related integrations.
• Collaborate with mobile developers to support iOS and Android applications.
• Design and maintain APIs consumed by multiple client applications and connected devices.
• Contribute to the modernization of our technology stack, including the long-term evolution of our existing PHP Laravel platform.
• Participate in architecture discussions and help shape future platform direction.

What We're Looking ForEssential Skills & Experience

• Full stack development experience.
• Solid backend engineering skills with experience building scalable applications and APIs.
• Experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure in production environments.
• Experience with:

• VPCs
• Multi-region deployments
• Experience optimizing performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud-hosted applications.
• Experience managing AWS costs and infrastructure efficiency.
• Experience integrating and supporting mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and client-server architecture.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Highly Desirable

• Experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Experience modernizing legacy platforms and migrating systems to newer architectures.
• Experience with database design
• Experience working in SaaS, health tech, sports tech, or data-driven applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
