DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer (Contract) - AWS | Terraform | Kubernetes

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team delivering scalable, cloud-native platforms. This contract role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a strong background in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.

You will play a key role in designing, automating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure while driving best practices across CI/CD, security, observability, and platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Deploy, manage, and optimise Kubernetes clusters and workloads.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable software delivery.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to improve platform observability.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and security teams to improve platform performance and resilience.
• Support incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure infrastructure follows security, compliance, and operational best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Advanced knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles
• Hands-on experience managing production Kubernetes environments (EKS preferred)
• Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tooling and automation practices
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
