Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong Banking domain knowledge and hands-on SQL skills to drive the development and enhancement of banking products and data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and customers to define product vision, prioritize requirements, and ensure successful delivery of solutions that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and business goals.
• Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements from stakeholders.
• Create and manage product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Scrum teams to ensure timely delivery of product features.
• Act as the primary liaison between business users, operations teams, and technology teams.
• Utilize SQL to analyze customer data, validate requirements, perform data investigations, and support decision-making.
• Drive product enhancements across banking platforms including Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Payments, Lending, or Digital Banking.
• Monitor product performance using KPIs and recommend improvements.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, UAT, and release activities.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and risk management policies.
• Support data mapping, reconciliation, and reporting initiatives.

Required Skills

Product Management

• Product Ownership in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Backlog management and prioritization.
• User story creation and acceptance criteria definition.
• Stakeholder management and communication.
• Business process analysis.

Technical Skills

• Strong SQL skills (complex queries, joins, aggregations, data analysis).
• Experience working with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Understanding of APIs, data flows, and system integrations.
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and reporting concepts is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
• 6–12 years of overall experience.
• Minimum 4+ years as Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst with Product Ownership responsibilities.
• Strong banking domain experience.
