Backend Golang Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Backend Golang Developer based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, production-grade backend systems that power critical product capabilities for a global cybersecurity platform. You will be part of a distributed engineering team focused on building resilient, high-performance microservices using Golang. The environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, with strong emphasis on clean architecture, scalability, and reliability. You will contribute to designing APIs, improving distributed systems, and solving complex backend performance challenges that directly impact millions of users. The role is ideal for engineers who enjoy deep technical problem-solving while continuously learning modern backend technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams across product and infrastructure to deliver secure, efficient, and scalable solutions.

Accountabilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend microservices using Golang
• Develop and implement end-to-end product features across distributed systems
• Contribute to API design and service-to-service communication architecture
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production-grade distributed environments
• Write clean, efficient, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and engineering teams in an Agile environment
• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to technical decision-making
• Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3-6+ years of backend development experience, with strong exposure to Golang or willingness to quickly adopt it
• Strong understanding of backend fundamentals including APIs, databases, concurrency, and networking
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems concepts
• Familiarity with REST APIs and messaging systems is highly preferred
• Knowledge of Docker and containerized environments is a plus
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and system thinking ability
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming and Goroutines is a plus
• Proactive mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills
