DevOps Engineer

Funteron is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team and help build, scale, and maintain reliable cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms. You will work closely with software engineers, architects, and product teams to improve automation, observability, infrastructure reliability, and delivery speed across our systems.

Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer at Funteron, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes platforms, and infrastructure-as-code workflows. You will play a key role in supporting microservice-based applications and ensuring that our systems are secure, scalable, observable, and resilient.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and/or OpenTofu.
• Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot workloads running on Kubernetes.
• Manage GitOps-based deployment workflows using Argo CD.
• Support and improve CI/CD processes across development and production environments.
• Work with engineering teams to support microservice architectures.
• Automate operational tasks using Bash scripting and other tooling.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability.
• Help improve security, scalability, backup, and disaster recovery practices.
• Collaborate with developers to streamline application deployment and infrastructure usage.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, and platform-related issues.

Required Skills and Experience

• Good knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure best practices.
• Good knowledge of Terraform and/or OpenTofu.
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes, including deployments, services, ingress, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of Argo CD and GitOps deployment workflows.
• Good understanding of microservice architecture.
• Good knowledge of Bash scripting.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with software engineering teams.

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, especially in multi-cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of Golang.
• Experience with service mesh, cloud security, secrets management, or platform engineering.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or similar.
• Experience managing production systems at scale.
