Join our dynamic Catering Services team and play a key role in shaping and delivering an industry-leading onboard wine and spirits programme across our global network.

About The Role

As a Wine Program Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution and governance of the onboard wine and spirits programme across all cabins and regions. This includes planning, ordering, logistics coordination, inventory management, and ensuring accuracy of menu content across digital and physical platforms.

You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, wine consultant, mixologist, other contracted industry leaders, and caterers to ensure the right products are selected, delivered, and presented in line with Qatar Airways’ premium standards. Your role will also support innovation initiatives, helping enhance the overall passenger experience through high-quality beverage offerings.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

• Plan, forecast, and execute ordering of wines, spirits, and liqueurs across all cabins.
• Coordinate end-to-end logistics of wines, spirits, and liqueurs, ensuring timely availability across global locations.
• Manage inventory accuracy and bin-end depletion strategies to minimise obsolete inventory.
• Lead wine and spirit rotations and ensure alignment with Wine Programme Strategy and operational deployment plans with timely communication to all relevant internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accuracy of product information across printed menus and digital platforms.
• Gather, validate and maintain all wine and spirits content required for printed menu cards and digital platforms.
• Support supplier database management, sampling & technical evaluation, and onboarding activities.
• Prepare reports and monitor performance, risks, and operational insights for stakeholders.
• Perform other department duties related to this position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualification

About You

• High School / Vocational Qualification or Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years of experience in wine business, logistics, and inventory management.
• Professional certification in wine - WSET Level 3 / Certified Sommelier / CSW
• Strong expertise in wine & spirits categories.
• Analytical and reporting capabilities
• High attention to detail and data accuracy
• Strong command of English (written and verbal communication)
• Familiarity with MS Office and operational systems
