This role is a strategic and execution-focused role in driving research-led insights as inputs to the strategic initiatives and programmes. Responsible for research and data analysis related to board composition including women’s representation; and research on international developments of board diversity such as regulations. Contribute ideas to help Council make data-driven decisions. This role hybrids with project management responsibilities for initiatives as identified and set out by the Secretariat team and the Council.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct research, collect and analyse data related to board composition including women’s representation amongst the Singapore target companies and organisations.
- Research and analyse international developments of Board diversity market trends, industry developments, benchmarking data, stakeholder feedback, and emerging issues to generate actionable insights e.g., policies / programmes that could help address the challenges.
- From research, develop briefing notes, presentations, dashboards, reports, and executive summaries for senior management and external stakeholders.
- From the research, develop potential topics for research, studies and publications in partnership with consulting firms, institutes of research and other relevant organisations.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of data. Provide update on trends observed from various data and feedback and how it will impact the outcomes that CBD is looking to drive.
- Manage data collection from external sources; manage relationship with external sources to maintain quality of data collection and reporting.
- Shared responsibilities in operations - assist in organizing events and activities. Organise council and working committee meetings, keep records, track progress on the action items and undertake the administrative aspects of CBD work such as updating website, reports.
- Where applicable and aligned with skill sets, lead projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. This includes:
(a) Develop and manage project plans, timelines, governance frameworks, risk registers, and tracking mechanisms. This also includes risk identification and implementation challenges.
(b) Coordinate stakeholder engagement across internal teams, senior leadership, partners, regulators, and external organisations.
(c) Monitor deliverables, budgets, milestones, dependencies, and outcomes against defined objectives.
Requirements
- Preferably >4 years of experience in the data analysis and undertaking work such as leading project worksterams, organizing events, minutes writing, programme management.
- Degree in statistics, business analytics, social science or related disciplines
- Prior experience in management consulting, research organisations, professional services, industry associations, public sector, or strategy functions would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and proficient in analyzing data using advanced tools in Microsoft Excel. Ability to read and summarise reports/studies by external parties for reporting purposes.
- Enjoys working with numbers and data; not fazed by large spreadsheets with information that requires analysis.
- Good communication skills.
- Organised, meticulous, good teamwork and able to manage multiple projects with a strong attention to detail and in a timely manner.
- Keen interest in women in leadership and talent development.
- Experience / familiarity with financial sector or reading of annual reports is useful.
