DevOps / Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer Mobile Apps to support a high-impact digital identity and mobile wallet platform within a government environment. You will be responsible for building secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on mobile app CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, Kubernetes-based cloud platforms, and release engineering for Apple App Store and Google Play Store applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Fastlane, BrowserStack, Codemagic
  • Manage mobile app lifecycle including signing, versioning, testing, and store deployments
  • Oversee releases to Apple App Store and Google Play Store
  • Implement app integrity controls using Apple App Attest and Google Play Integrity API
  • Integrate SAST, DAST, container scanning, and secrets detection
  • Implement load and performance testing using JMeter or Locust
  • Manage secure configurations (TLS, secrets, encryption, certificates)
  • Ensure compliance with NIST, PCTF, eIDAS frameworks
  • Design and manage Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Deploy and operate Kubernetes (AKS / OpenShift) clusters
  • Build containerized workloads using Docker / Podman
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible
  • Implement monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Log Analytics
  • Integrate crash analytics tools like Firebase Crashlytics and App Center
  • Produce documentation (runbooks, architecture diagrams, SOPs

Must-Haves

  • Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Fastlane, BrowserStack, and Codemagic for mobile and backend applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing application releases through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including app signing, versioning, testing, deployment, and release governance.
  • Experience implementing mobile application security controls, including Apple App Attest and Google Play Integrity API, to strengthen application integrity and anti-tampering capabilities.
  • Extensive experience architecting and supporting cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, with a strong understanding of scalability, security, and high-availability principles.
  • Deep expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and/or Podman, as well as orchestration platforms including Kubernetes (AKS and/or OpenShift).
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Strong background in DevSecOps, including implementation of SAST, DAST, container security scanning, secrets management, certificate management, and vulnerability remediation practices.
  • Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Log Analytics.
  • Hands-on experience integrating application monitoring and crash analytics tools such as Firebase Crashlytics and Microsoft App Center.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python and Bash.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience supporting digital identity, credentialing, mobile wallet, or citizen-facing platforms.
  • Previous experience working within government, public sector, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, caching technologies, and distributed application platforms.
  • Experience supporting relational database technologies such as PostgreSQL and MySQL in cloud-native environments.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering practices, including service monitoring, alerting, SLIs, and SLOs.
  • Experience implementing enterprise observability, logging, and operational analytics solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe delivery methodologies.
  • Experience mentoring technical teams and promoting DevOps, Kubernetes, and cloud engineering best practices.
  • Exposure to large-scale cloud transformation initiatives and complex enterprise technology environments.
