Senior Analyst -Networks and Security

DGCX also owns and operates one of the region’s largest and multi-asset Clearing House – Dubai Commodities Clearing Corporation (DCCC). Both DGCX and DCCC are regulated by the Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA) and are recognized by local and international regulators across the globe.

Role Summary:

The primary objective of the Senior Analyst -Networks and Security role is to configure, implement and management of ultra-low latency complex network & security infrastructure of DGCX.

This includes interaction and coordination with different vendors/ service providers & internal teams for procurement, installation and management of communication links. Preparation & verification of technical documents, conducting network/security testing, in depth analysis, auditing, preparation and maintenance of incident & change management.

Responsibilities:

• Interaction with Service providers to implement and troubleshoot of Core IPVPN links, Multicast, packet drops, latency, access & routing issues.
• Involved in implementation and testing of low latency network services.
• End to end configuration of Leased Line, L2 VPN and L3VPN Multicast Optimization (zero packet drop) for ISP’s and customer network.
• Quality of service QOS and COS implementations for multicast centric applications & prioritization of multicast traffic.
• Ensure with respective service providers/vendors to maintain maximum up time, packet delivery and low jitter of network & data Security infrastructure.
• Monitoring & maintaining SLA with service providers. New link procurement
• Follow up on any planned activities from ISP side and RFO for any unplanned outages and steps to be taken to prevent such outages
• Interaction with Data Centre providers and ISPs for space/link procurement
• Performing network maintenance, change & incident management and network troubleshooting
• Monitoring entire DGCX network for any drops, jitter or outages and report to Sr. Manager/ Head of Network & Security using standard tools
• Provide data for monthly MIS Report.
• Effectively monitoring the bandwidth usage with less than 1 second interval to understand burst traffic, determine system capacity utilization and reporting.
• Perform day to day activities in shifts. Render solutions/ workarounds to customer network issues and recommend technical solutions.
• Focused on resolution of day-to-day faults, troubleshooting of MPLS, IPSEC, GRE, Routing & Switching issues.
• Perform deep IP packet capture analysis using various network and security monitoring tools likes Wire shark, Sniffers, Corvil, PRTG, Manage Engine
• Necessary coordination with members and ISP for link procurement and termination at third party Colo facility.
• Configure firewall policies/ site to site VPNs as per the requirement for trading, office and test environments access. To attend weekend network planned activities.
• Product evaluation, testing and implementation of new requirements of trading, office environment and infrastructure
• Conduct network failover including system and application team to ensure high availability
• Co-ordination with internal and external team for network and security audits
• Carry out the Risk assessments and review the vulnerability assessment, penetration testing reports and to implement mitigation strategies.
• Audit compliance and closure of audit findings, and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Graduate in Electronic or Computer Engineering. Cisco Certifications in routers/switches/IP Telephony, Juniper/F5/ Fortinet Certification on Firewall, VPN concentrator, Load balancer
• At least 4-5 years of experience in similar profile in Exchanges/ultra-low latency network design with exchange co-location implementation or large corporate service providers or banking & finance industry.
• Sound knowledge and working experience with industry standard network and security appliances.
• Experience of ultra-low Latency (up to nano seconds) Trading infrastructure with hands on work experience in the associated performance tuning, monitoring and connectivity.
• Understanding of financial industry standard FIX & FAST protocol
• Hop by hop packet analysis to understand complex latency issues of exchange co-location infrastructure
• Hands-on work experience on configurations, management and troubleshooting of large mission critical network infrastructure
• MPLS VPN’s, IOS, ASR, Nexus, XR routers & Switches, IPSEC & GRE tunnels on FortiGate, ASA and juniper.
• Excellent knowledge on routing protocol ex. OSPF, BGP, MPLS Setup connectivity with ISP, GRE, IPSEC tunnels, Routing & Switching
• Hands on work experience on various networking & security appliances (e.g., Cisco routers/switches, F5Firewalls/IPS of leading OEM like Fortinet, Juniper, MacAfee etc.)
• Network Implementation, Testing & Monitoring.
• Well versed with IP multicasting in resilient environments. Knowledge and awareness of global financial markets with a cultural familiarity of the GCC region.
