Cloud Security Lead

Position Title: Cloud Security Lead

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports To: Head of Information Security / Director of Cyber Security

Position Summary

A leading cybersecurity organization in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the strategic cloud security architecture and governance frameworks across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. You will

serve as the principal subject matter expert, ensuring robust defenses for critical data, workloads, and cloud infrastructure against emerging threats

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure multitenant cloud environments (Azure, AWS, and local cloud infrastructures)
• Define and implement comprehensive cloud security policies, compliance controls, frameworks, and architecture blueprints
• Lead vulnerability management, threat modeling, and risk assessments for cloud deployments, ensuring proactive remediation
• Deploy, configure, and monitor advanced cloud security tools including CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, and CIEM platforms
• Establish automated security testing pipelines (DevSecOps) to integrate continuous compliance into continuous delivery workflows
• Provide technical leadership and incident response coordination during complex, cloud-specific security incidents
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture, engineering, and dev teams to promote a strong culture of cloud native security principles

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-9 years of dedicated information security experience, with at least 4+ years specializing in complex Cloud Security governance and engineering roles
• Proven experience securing public and localized cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, or sovereign environments)
• Hands-on expertise with infrastructure-as a code (IaC) security tools, container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes), and CI/CD security gating
• Deep familiarity with regional and global regulatory compliance standards, including NESA, UAE Information Assurance (IA), ISO 27001, and SOC2
• Top-tier professional certifications are highly desirable (e.g., CCSP, CISSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CCSK)
