If you have solid cloud infrastructure experience, you're obsessed with observability, and you know what it means to operate Kubernetes in production — we want to hear from you.

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to join us as a cross-functional profile supporting all product squads. Your main focus will be ensuring the observability of our systems, defining and maintaining infrastructure and application metrics, and evolving our platform on Amazon EKS.

We're not looking for someone who just runs pipelines. We're looking for someone who understands the "why" behind every alert, knows how to design dashboards that tell a story, and pushes the development team to operate their own services better. 🤩

Your Day-to-day As a DevOps Engineer

Observability & Metrics (primary focus)

• Design and implement an end-to-end observability strategy: logs, metrics, and distributed traces.
• Configure and maintain Datadog as core monitoring tools.
• Define SLIs/SLOs for critical platform services.
• Build actionable dashboards that enable the team to make data-driven decisions.
• Set up alerts with enough context to reduce diagnosis time (MTTR).
  
  

Infrastructure & Kubernetes

• Manage and evolve our Amazon EKS clusters: networking, autoscaling, security, upgrades.
• Own AWS infrastructure (VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, ECR, Lambda, CloudFront, Route53…) with cost control and best practices.
• Maintain and extend infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Ensure development, staging, and production environments are consistent and reproducible.
• Optimize cost on our cloud infrastructure
  
  

CI/CD & Developer Experience

• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines in GitLab (maybe GitHub Actions in a near future)
• Reduce build and deploy times and improve feedback loops for developers.
• Enable teams to ship with confidence: feature flags, canary deployments, automated rollbacks.
• Document processes and create runbooks for recurring operations.
  
  

Security & Compliance

• Apply security best practices across infrastructure: secrets management, network policies, cluster hardening.
• Collaborate on compliance standards (ISO 27001).
• Conduct regular configuration and access reviews.

You're a great fit if you...

Experience: 4–5 years in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles — real production experience, not theoretical.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related STEM field.

Must-haves

• Strong use of AI Tools for managing environments with MCP tools and writing code (shell scripting, terraform files, ansible recipes, etc…)
• Solid hands-on experience with Amazon EKS in production: cluster configuration, troubleshooting, networking (CNI, ingress controllers, service mesh).
• Solid experience creating monitoring dashboards for reporting to C-level
• Deep knowledge of AWS.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of Ansible (or any other automation tools)
• Proficiency with observability tooling: Datadog (or New Relic) and/or ELK, Grafana (Prometheus, Loki, ELK is a plus).
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI (or any other CI/CD tool like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins...)
• Experience with GitOps workflows.
• Strong foundation in Linux, networking, and protocols (DNS, HTTP, TLS).
• Ability to communicate in Spanish (the team works in Spanish).
  
  

Nice To Have

• Helm charts and ArgoCD or FluxCD for GitOps.
• Knowledge of secrets management tools like Doppler, Infisical, etc…
• PostgreSQL from an operational standpoint (backups, replication, tuning).
• Experience defining SLIs/SLOs and working with reliability frameworks.
• Kubernetes security tooling (OPA/Gatekeeper, Falco, network policies).
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) or CKA/CKAD.
• Experience in startups or product environments where delivery speed matters as much as stability.

Compensation 💰

The salary range for this position is between €34,500 and €51,750 OTE (on target earnings) gross annual salary.

The Salary Consists Of

• Between €30,000 and €45,000 fixed salary
• Up to €6,000 quarterly bonus based on performance & potential and Shakers global results (15%)
