About the role

We're hiring a Senior Product Designer to shape how businesses, financial institutions, and end-users experience cryptocurrency payments. You'll work as a close partner to the Product Owner and Tech Lead – bringing user evidence into product decisions and owning the quality of what you ship.

This is a high-agency role in a small, fast-moving team. We expect AI-assisted workflows to be part of how you explore, prototype, and communicate, and we expect you to be comfortable shaping ambiguous briefs into clear, shippable work.

What you'll do:

• Own projects from first concept to shipped product. Design the flows, write the UI copy, partner with engineers through launch, and take responsibility for the quality of the shipped customer experience.
• Build a deep understanding of our product, market and customers. Talk to customers, partners regularly, research competitors, run interviews, usability tests – and synthesize what you learn into clear, actionable insights.
• Apply strong judgment to regulated, high-trust experiences where clarity, auditability, and user confidence matter as much as speed: onboarding, verification, irreversible actions, and compliance flows.
• Design developer and integrator-facing workflows: API setup, checkout integrations, webhooks, permissions, callbacks, and configuration-heavy product surfaces.
• Validate design decisions with qualitative and quantitative evidence: user interviews, usability tests, structured A/B tests, funnel analysis, and session reviews. Feed what you learn back into the next iteration.
• Contribute to and help evolve our design system: tokens, components, patterns, and documentation, with attention to accessibility and consistency across surfaces.
• Reach for code editors and LLM-powered tools (Cursor, Claude, Claude Code, Replit, Figma MCP) as naturally as design tools, using them to prototype in production, audit and scale the design system, and accelerate validation and discovery.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and data partners – communicate design decisions clearly and back them with reasoning and evidence.

What we're looking for:

• Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking, systems thinking, and craft. We want to see evidence of how you think, how you make trade-offs, and how your work changed user behaviour, not just polished deliverables.
• Strong track record of working independently and owning outcomes – comfortable taking a feature or product area from discovery to shipped product with minimal hand-holding.
• High agency, critical thinking, bias toward shipping, and the willingness to make calls with incomplete information.
• Deep empathy for users and hands-on user research skills. You actively seek out users, run interviews and usability tests, synthesize what you learn, and let real insight change your design decisions.
• Hands-on experience working with design systems in production – building components, following and extending token and pattern conventions.
• Interest in the world of cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and the practical problems of making blockchain-based products usable, trustworthy, and commercially viable.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a product designer, ideally in a product-led environment.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience in payments, fintech, financial services, or another regulated product environment.
• Experience designing for merchants, B2B SaaS, or developer-facing products.
• Hands-on front-end ability with React, or similar, sufficient to prototype realistic product experiences and contribute meaningfully to the codebase.
• Portfolio examples showing AI-assisted prototyping, research synthesis, UI exploration, or front-end experimentation.
• Experience running A/B tests and growth experiments in a consumer or B2B product.
• Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Design Thinking, Computer Science, or a closely related field.

Salary:

4000 to 6000 €/monthly gross. We are open to discussing a different salary based on your skills and experience.
