Frontend Software Engineer

The Role

We’re looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer with a strong frontend focus to join ZURU AI and help build the next generation of our internal AI-powered product assistant, designed to enhance creativity and productivity across all ZURU divisions.

You’ll work in a cross-functional environment where software engineering meets AI, building modern web and desktop applications that make Generative AI accessible and useful to teams across the company.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating intuitive, high-quality user experiences and is comfortable contributing to backend integrations when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web and desktop interfaces for AI-powered applications.
• Integrate AI services (OpenAI API, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.) into user-facing products.
• Contribute to backend integrations and APIs when required.
• Collaborate closely with AI engineers, frontend developers, and UX/UI designers.
• Take ownership of features from design to production.
• Contribute ideas to product and architecture decisions.
• Follow best practices in GitLab, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Stay up to date with modern frontend technologies and AI development patterns.
  
  

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Frontend Engineer, or Full-Stack Developer
• Strong experience with TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Electron
• Solid understanding of frontend state management (e.g. Zustand)
• Working knowledge of Node.js, REST APIs, and backend integration concepts
• Practical understanding of Generative AI concepts and experience integrating external AI APIs
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable collaborating with international teams
• Fluent in English
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI and its practical applications.

• Experience with Python
• Knowledge of RAG systems and multimodal AI models
• Familiarity with LangChain, OpenAI SDK, or similar frameworks
• Experience with databases and ORMs such as Drizzle
• Experience deploying applications with Vercel or AWS
• Familiarity with UX/UI best practices
• Experience building internal tools or cross-functional products
