About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Data Analyst to join a growing team responsible for delivering data-driven solutions that support critical business initiatives. This is a senior role that combines hands-on data analysis with stakeholder management, requirements gathering, solution design, and delivery oversight.

The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business and technology teams, working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, analyse complex datasets, define data solutions, and support successful project delivery. You will play a key role in driving initiatives from inception through to implementation, ensuring business needs are translated into scalable and effective analytical solutions.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working across multiple stakeholders, and taking ownership of projects throughout the full delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data analysis activities to support strategic business initiatives and operational improvements
• Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements from key stakeholders
• Perform data mapping, data validation, and impact assessments to support solution design and implementation
• Partner with engineering and development teams to support solution delivery and resolve data-related challenges
• Investigate data and system issues, performing root cause analysis and driving resolution activities
• Define and execute testing strategies, ensuring solutions meet business and technical requirements
• Design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI to support decision-making
• Manage project scope, requirements changes, and delivery expectations throughout project lifecycles
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirement gathering sessions
• Document business processes, data flows, functional requirements, and project deliverables
• Act as a key point of contact between business users, technology teams, and project stakeholders
• Contribute to best practices across data analysis, reporting, governance, and delivery processes
• Support Agile delivery practices and participate in planning, prioritisation, and project activities

Key Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a Lead Data Analyst, Senior Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar position
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and problem-solving
• Extensive experience in requirements gathering, data mapping, and business process analysis
• Experience investigating data quality, reporting, or system-related issues and driving resolutions
• Strong experience developing dashboards and visualisations using Power BI
• Experience supporting testing activities, test planning, and requirements validation
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience leading initiatives from requirements gathering through to successful delivery
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and collaborative environments

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience working with Microsoft Azure
• Experience within Agile delivery environments
• Knowledge of business process modelling and workflow design
• Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
• Exposure to project delivery and change management practices
• Understanding of modern data platforms, reporting tools, and analytics ecosystems
