Blockchain Developer

The Role

As a Senior Blockchain Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering robust backend systems that integrate enterprise‑grade Java platforms with blockchain and distributed ledger technologies.

You will play a key role in shaping system architecture, ensuring reliability, and driving engineering best practices across the development lifecycle.

Your responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and modern microservices architecture.
• Build and integrate blockchain‑enabled components, including interaction with distributed ledgers, smart contracts, and transaction workflows.
• Develop secure, high‑performance RESTful APIs for internal and external system integration.
• Ensure security, data integrity, and consistency across on‑chain and off‑chain systems.
• Contribute to system architecture, performance optimization, and reliability in distributed environments.
• Collaborate with product owners, frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers to uphold engineering standards.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Strong hands‑on experience in Java (8 or above) and backend development.
• Proven experience with Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and REST API design.
• Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including distributed ledgers, consensus mechanisms, and transaction models.
• Experience integrating backend systems with blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, or similar).
• Good knowledge of application security, cryptography basics, and secure coding practices.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and experience working in Agile development environments.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

• Hands‑on experience with smart contracts and blockchain frameworks or SDKs.
• Exposure to cloud‑native development, containerization, and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and advantage.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing is desirable.
• Knowledge of event‑driven architectures, messaging systems, or distributed systems design.
• Background in BFSI, fintech, or enterprise platforms with high security and scalability requirements are advantageous.
• Prior experience in technical leadership, solution design, or architecture roles is preferable.
