Location: Dublin (Hybrid)

Salary: €100,000 – €110,000 + Pension & Healthcare

Contract Rate: €500 per day

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior / Lead .NET Developer to play a pivotal role in the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of modern distributed applications. This opportunity suits a hands-on technical leader who is passionate about building high-quality software, influencing architecture, mentoring engineers, and promoting engineering excellence across teams.

You will contribute to the delivery of cloud-native solutions built on .NET Core, with a strong focus on microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance applications using .NET Core and C#.
• Drive architectural decisions across distributed systems and microservices-based platforms.
• Promote software engineering best practices, coding standards, and design principles.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to development teams.
• Contribute to solution architecture, technical strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure applications are reliable, maintainable, and highly observable in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues, implementing sustainable long-term fixes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of commercial software development experience with .NET and C#.
• Strong expertise in .NET Core and modern backend application development.
• Proven experience designing and building message-driven distributed systems.
• Solid background working with microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of software design principles and architectural patterns.
• Experience implementing industry best practices for application design and coding standards.
• Ability to influence technical direction and deliver innovative solutions.
• Capable of working effectively in fast-paced environments and meeting challenging deadlines.
• Self-driven with a proactive approach and the ability to lead by example.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
