About Your New Job

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join a growing Digital Solutions team focused on leveraging telematics and IoT data to deliver actionable insights and predictive solutions.

In this role, you will work with large-scale datasets collected from connected equipment, applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modelling techniques to improve product performance and support customer decision-making. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and data teams to transform data-driven insights into scalable production-ready solutions.

This is an opportunity to work on innovative projects involving predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, optimisation, and reliability modelling while contributing to the development of next-generation digital products.


What Skills You Need

  • Degree or Master's qualification in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • 3–5 years' professional experience in Data Science or Machine Learning roles
  • Strong experience developing and deploying machine learning models
  • Experience with statistical modelling, predictive analytics, and data exploration
  • Strong knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques
  • Experience with anomaly detection, classification, clustering, and regression models
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or R
  • Experience working with SQL and large structured or unstructured datasets
  • Experience creating visualisations and presenting analytical insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings into business recommendations


Desirable

  • Experience with predictive maintenance, reliability engineering, or survivability models
  • Experience with Tableau or similar visualisation tools
  • Exposure to cloud-based analytics and machine learning platforms
  • Experience leading data science projects from concept through deployment
  • Knowledge of automotive, transport, industrial equipment, or IoT environments
