Your Role

As an LLM Game Designer, you will shape how NPCs think, talk, and behave in our world. Your core craft is prompting: writing, structuring, and iterating on the prompts that drive NPC personalities, dialogue, and decision-making. You design the systems behind these prompts together with game designers and AI engineers, so that NPCs feel intelligent, reactive, and immersive in every situation the player creates.

Responsibilities

  • Write, structure, and iterate on prompts that drive NPC personalities, dialogue, and behavior
  • Design and refine the AI-driven systems that decide how NPCs talk, react, and make decisions
  • Build distinct character personalities and ensure consistent voice and tone across interactions
  • Create villager automation systems that let NPCs assist the player meaningfully
  • Ensure NPC interactions feel organic, contextual, and connected to in-game events
  • Work with gameplay and systems teams to integrate AI with quests, economy, and survival mechanics
  • Test, evaluate, and continuously improve prompt quality based on playtests and player feedback

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in game design or a closely related creative role
  • Strong hands-on experience writing and iterating on LLM prompts, with a clear sense of how prompt structure shapes model behavior
  • Solid understanding of how LLMs work in practice, including their strengths, limitations, and typical failure modes
  • Experience designing characters, dialogue, or narrative systems
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine
  • Knowledge of procedural storytelling and generative AI is a plus
  • Ability to work onsite in Munich, Germany (EU work authorization required)

What we offer

  • Work on a groundbreaking AAA survival city-building game.
  • Be part of a passionate and highly experienced team.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to innovate in AI-driven game development.
  • A chance to grow with a rapidly expanding game studio backed by top industry veterans.
