Technical Program Manager

As our infrastructure, teams, and customer base continue to grow, we are looking for a Technical Program Manager to help identify and remove the bottlenecks that naturally emerge at scale.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will help identify and remove the technical, operational, and organizational bottlenecks that naturally emerge as Verda scales its infrastructure, products, and teams.

You Will

• Identify growth bottlenecks by working closely with engineering, infrastructure, data center operations, and business teams.
• Lead large cross-functional programs, including infrastructure migrations, platform rollouts, release process improvements, and organizational scaling initiatives.
• Design and improve processes that help Verda scale efficiently while reducing operational overhead.
• Take a hands-on approach when necessary, stepping in to keep critical initiatives moving while longer-term solutions are being developed.
• Use data and metrics to understand where inefficiencies exist and measure the impact of improvements.
• Build dashboards, reporting mechanisms, and operational visibility where needed.
• Coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders to drive alignment and execution.
• Support production releases, organizational changes, hiring initiatives, and other high-impact projects when they become critical dependencies.
• Help create scalable operating practices that support Verda's continued growth.
  
  

Your key competencies

• Experience working as a Technical Program Manager, Engineering Lead, Technical Product Manager, or in a similar cross-functional leadership role.
• Strong technical foundation with the ability to understand complex systems, architectures, and engineering trade-offs.
• Proven track record of leading large cross-functional programs from planning through execution.
• Ability to identify bottlenecks, prioritize effectively, and drive initiatives to completion.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use metrics and data to support decision-making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable operating in fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environments.
• Self-sufficient, proactive, and ownership-driven mindset.
• Ability to balance short-term execution with long-term scalability.
• Strong judgment on when to push, negotiate, escalate, or build consensus.
  
  

Nice to have

• Experience in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, HPC environments, AI infrastructure, or large-scale technology operations.
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Argo CD, GitLab CI, Linux, Grafana, Prometheus, PostgreSQL, Ansible, Salt, or similar.
• Experience using AI coding tools and agents as part of day-to-day workflows.
• Background in backend engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience supporting infrastructure migrations, platform rollouts, organizational scaling, or hiring programs.
• Experience working in a rapidly scaling company.

• Location: Helsinki
• Hybrid mode: Working 3 days a week from our Helsinki office
