Full Stack Developer (AI / LLM / RAG / AWS / TypeScript / React)

An innovative, product-driven technology company in Tampere is seeking a Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on AI engineering to join their growing team. This role sits at the intersection of large language models (LLMs), AI-driven applications, and modern cloud development, with a particular emphasis on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions.

The Role:

The successful candidate will design and build intelligent applications powered by LLMs, working across both backend and frontend systems. They will play a key role in developing scalable AI solutions using AWS, while contributing to a modern TypeScript and React-based stack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AI-powered applications using LLMs and RAG architectures
• Develop full stack features using TypeScript (Node.js) and React
• Build and deploy scalable services on AWS (Lambda, Bedrock/SageMaker, S3, API Gateway, etc.)
• Integrate and optimise LLM pipelines, embeddings, and vector databases
• Collaborate with product and data teams to deliver user-focused AI features
• Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices in AI engineering

Requirements:

• Strong full stack development experience with TypeScript and React
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM applications (e.g. OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or similar)
• Experience implementing or working with RAG pipelines and vector search
• Solid knowledge of AWS cloud services
• Understanding of APIs, microservices, and scalable system design

Nice to Have:

• Experience with vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Weaviate, OpenSearch)
• Knowledge of prompt engineering and LLM evaluation techniques
• Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CDK)
• Experience in building production-grade AI features
