UX Designer

MagiCAD Group is a Global software solutions and services provider with the mission to help engineering and manufacturing companies create better buildings.

We’re looking for a UX Designer to shape the future of MagiCAD Cloud— platform connecting MEP designers and manufacturers.

As UX Designer you will work independently and, in a team, contribute to the quality of our product experience and actively drive user-centred design practices across MagiCAD Cloud. We are looking for someone with solid experience in UX design and a curious, analytical way of working. You can translate user research and data into clear design decisions, communicate effectively with both developers and product managers, and manage your own work in a structured and independent way. We hope that you have experience in building and maintaining design systems, running usability testing, and contributing to a shared design culture by raising the bar and sharing knowledge. You are fluent in English; Finnish is considered an advantage.

You will be part of MagiCAD Cloud Product Management team, driving the product roadmap, user experience and business development for several products inside MagiCAD Cloud, targeted for both designers and manufacturers. As UX Designer you will help the team to succeed in making MagiCAD Cloud user experience and product offering the best in industry.

About the role:

This is a high-impact role where you will work across two key domains:

• Designer experience (BIM workflows, product selection, usability)
• Manufacturer services (services offered for manufacturers, content, digital product visibility)

What you’ll do:

• Drive UX development of MagiCAD Cloud
• Own user research & validation
• Plan and execute user research, interviews, and usability testing
• Validate concepts through prototypes and user feedback
• Collect and interpret user data from sources such as session recordings and heatmaps
• Develop and maintain a design system
• Ensure consistency across products and services
• Collaborate closely with developers for implementation quality

We hope you have at least the following qualities:

• Proven experience as a UX Designer preferably 5+ years in agile software development projects with emphasis on high level user/customer experience
• Strong skills in user research & usability testing
• Strong skills in prototyping & interaction design
• Curious and analytical mindset – validation before design
• Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
• Experience in building or contributing to design systems
• Proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping, and familiarity with some analytics tools such as PostHog, session recordings and heatmaps

We consider as an asset:

• Previous experience in conducting A/B testing
• Comfortable working in complex domains (e.g. B2B, technical products)
• Experience in working closely with software development team working with Angular / React / TypeScript stack

Job Location

The location for this role is in Finland. You can work at any of our offices in Finland: Turku, Espoo, or Rauma or remote in Finland. We value regular in person collaboration and hope you'd also participate meetings at the office from time to time.
