A global leader in connectivity and network technology is seeking a Director / Senior Manager to join its Corporate Strategy and M&A team in Espoo, Finland. Working closely with senior leadership at the intersection of corporate strategy and deal execution, this role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing both organic and inorganic growth opportunities. Operating in a fast-paced and highly visible environment, the role offers a strong platform for end-to-end deal ownership, strategy formulation, and direct collaboration with executive leadership and cross-functional business units.


Key Responsibilities


  • End-to-End Deal Execution: Lead and manage agreed M&A transactions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships entirely, overseeing the process from initial sourcing and screening through to due diligence coordination and deal structuring.


  • Strategic Project Leadership: Direct and contribute to key corporate strategy projects and market investigations on major business themes, translating market insights and emerging technology trends into actionable business impacts.


  • Financial & Valuation Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and build detailed valuation models (including DCF, trading comps, and precedent transactions) to support M&A activities, strategic partnerships, and divestitures.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal legal, finance, tax, HR, and business unit teams during the due diligence process, transaction execution, and post-merger integration planning.


  • Executive & Board Reporting: Prepare high-quality business cases, valuation assessments, and presentation materials for the investment committee, senior leadership team, and the Board of Directors.


  • Strategic Planning & Performance Tracking: Assist with the annual strategic planning cycle and track post-acquisition performance metrics to ensure target investments meet their strategic and financial objectives.


  • Market Scanning & Target Identification: Lead market investigations and competitor analyses, building robust prioritization frameworks to screen and identify potential acquisition targets and strategic partnerships.


  • Stakeholder & Network Management: Build and nurture strong internal and external networks, acting as a trusted advisor to corporate leadership and business unit heads on strategy and transaction matters.


Candidate Requirements


  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate development (M&A), investment banking, management consulting, or corporate strategy.


  • Sector Expertise: Substantial experience in relevant high-technology sectors (e.g., software, cloud, AI infrastructure); prior experience in the telecommunications or networking industry is highly advantageous.


  • Deal Leadership: Proven track record of running transaction processes independently in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.


  • Technical Competence: Advanced proficiency in corporate finance, strategic analysis, valuation methodologies, and financial modeling, combined with a strong execution discipline and rigorous attention to detail.


  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to synthesize complex financial, strategic, and technological concepts into clear, executive-level reports and presentations.


  • Personality & Mindset: Highly motivated self-starter with strong intellectual curiosity, a collaborative teamwork orientation, and a genuine interest in diving deep into technical and technology topics.


  • Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering and Management, or a related quantitative field.


Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Espoo, Finland, utilizing our flexible hybrid working model.
