Role overview

As The Group CTO, you will serve as the senior technical visionary across Sevendos Group, operating at the heart of our client advisory, solution architecture and commercial execution.

You will be the thought leader of one of Europe’s fastest-growing technology services companies, a respected and well-known voice in the community, who will carry the flag for technological advancement, with your feet firmly planted in the present and your eyes fixed on the future.

You will secure our clients’ industry leadership and sustainable growth by helping them make strategic choices and investments, while transforming their businesses to exceed future expectations. Or in other words, creating Specialist Magic.

The ideal person for this role combines strong business acumen with deep, hands-on technical credibility; someone who has shipped software products/services in production, holds real opinions on the modern stack, and can hold their own with both a Chief Revenue Officer and a Staff Engineer. You bring fresh and challenging perspectives into our offering development, are able to simplify complex topics into clear executive-level communication, and know how to navigate uncertainty without losing momentum or direction.

This role requires a builder-shipper mentality: the ability to thrive in ambiguity, create clarity in complexity, and produce artifacts, from reference architectures, internal platforms, evals, accelerators, to public writing.

You are an excellent communicator, with strong written and verbal skills in both Finnish and English.

Client and commercial interface

You will lead C-level technical conversations with clients, translating business needs into concrete solution scopes and ensuring Sevendos can credibly articulate and deliver on highly valued, world-class mandates. This requires genuine commercial instinct: the ability to understand a client situation, identify what is actually being needed, simplify and specify what winning looks like.

You will also work as a hands-on partner to Sales, Large Deals, KAM and Tech Partnerships functions, contributing directly to proposals and client engagements where technical credibility is decisive.

Success in the role requires the ability to create momentum, build trust quickly, communicate clearly under pressure, and operate confidently at the intersection of technology, business, and transformation.

Technology vision and architecture

You own the technical worldview of the Group, and we expect you to hold real, well-argued opinions across the modern AI stack:

• Agent-based architectures: multi-agent orchestration, tool use, MCP and the wider interoperability stack, and an honest read on where simple, predictable workflows still beat agents.
• Evaluation as a core engineering discipline, with eval-driven development, offline and online evals, and regression testing for systems that don't give the same answer twice.
• The AI-native software development lifecycle: context engineering, prompts and retrieval treated as code, observability for probabilistic systems, and human-in-the-loop QA.
• Foundation model strategy: frontier closed models vs. open weights, fine-tuning vs. prompting vs. retrieval, model routing, and cost control at scale.
• Data and platform foundations that make a client (and Sevendos itself) genuinely AI-ready, including governance, security, and IP boundaries.
• A clear view on where the lasting advantage lives in AI services, and where it doesn't.
  
  

Offering development

You will own how Sevendos defines and packages its solution-based offering, working with specialists and sales to move from capability inventory to repeatable, client-facing solutions. This includes understanding modern AI-era architectures and knowing when and how to deploy the capabilities of our subsidiary companies, in service of client outcomes.

Internal leadership and AI agenda

You will own the internal AI agenda across the Group, acting as champion, translator, and challenge-setter as our companies navigate the shift to AI-augmented delivery and operations. This means working both at Group level and directly with individual specialist units to build the thinking, tools, and capability needed to stay ahead of the disruption.

Advisory delivery

In addition to strategic leadership, the role contributes directly to delivery excellence across the Group.

The CTO contributes to raising delivery quality across the Group together with the Head of Delivery, not as a hands-on delivery lead, but as the person who sets the bar, spots the gaps, and connects the right expertise to the right challenge.
