Role: Human Resources Specials- Total Rewards

Location: Saskatoon

Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday (with potential for 1–2 evenings per week as needed)

We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist– Total Rewards to join our Human Resources team. This role is key in strengthening how we manage compensation, benefits, and payroll by focusing on accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement.

You’ll work cross-functionally with leaders and internal teams to provide guidance on compensation and employee-related matters, support payroll governance, and ensure our total rewards programs remain competitive and effective.

Key Responsibilities

As the Human Resources Specialist- Total Rewards you will:

  • Support the design, administration, and continuous improvement of compensation programs aligned with company goals and market trends
  • Conduct compensation analysis, including internal equity reviews and market benchmarking, to support informed decision-making
  • Provide guidance to leaders on salary decisions, job evaluations, and compensation structures
  • Support and administer the annual compensation review process, ensuring consistency and alignment across the organization
  • Support the effective administration of employee benefits programs and act as a liaison with providers for renewals and plan improvements
  • Review payroll outputs to identify trends, errors, or inconsistencies and support resolution of complex or escalated issues
  • Partner with Payroll & Benefits and shared services to improve payroll accuracy, processes, and overall effectiveness
  • Provide day-to-day advisory support to leaders and employees on compensation, benefits, payroll, and employee-related matters
  • Support leaders in addressing employee relations matters in partnership with the HR team
  • Prepare reports and analysis related to compensation, payroll, and benefits, identifying trends and providing recommendations
  • Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and HR initiatives to increase efficiency and consistency
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and internal policies related to compensation, payroll, and benefits

Qualifications

As the Human Resources Specialist- Total Rewards, you will have:

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 4–7+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, payroll, or HR advisory
  • Strong knowledge of compensation practices, payroll processes, and benefits administration
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Dayforce experience is an asset)
  • Knowledge of employment standards, payroll legislation, and benefits regulations
  • Experience in a manufacturing or multi-site environment is considered an asset
