Brunel is looking for a Medior DevOps Engineer for an innovative company in the region of Gosselies. In this position, you will play a key role in maintaining and evolving a modern IT infrastructure while working closely with the ICT Manager as a technical sparring partner.


Your responsibilities

  • Support the ICT Manager as the technical right hand in daily operations and strategic projects.
  • Ensure the stability, security, and performance of the IT environment.
  • Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to guarantee reliable and efficient deployments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain modern cloud infrastructures using Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Contribute to Infrastructure as Code strategies with tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Automate technical processes and continuously improve workflows and infrastructure reliability.
  • Monitor systems, resolve incidents, and implement structural improvements.
  • Ensure a secure IT environment through access management, vulnerability management, and best practices.
  • Coach and support colleagues while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Translate business and strategic needs into practical technical solutions.


Your profile

  • Degree in IT, Systems, Networks, or equivalent through experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Strong expertise in: Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps) and Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of security, system stability, and performance optimization.
  • Experience coaching or supporting colleagues is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ICT standards such as ISO 27001 is considered an advantage.
  • Fluent communication skills in Dutch, French and English.
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable working independently in complex environments.
  • Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
