Junior Game Developer (m/f/d)

MERKUR Excellence, based in Raaba near Graz, was founded in 2018 as part of the MERKUR GROUP and specializes in game design and development, with a particular focus on casino games.

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Game Developer (m/f/d) to join our team in developing high-quality slot machine games for casino platforms. In this role, you will grow your technical skills in Unity and C# while contributing to engaging gameplay features in a collaborative Agile environment. If you have a solid foundation in Unity development, enjoy working in cross-functional teams, and want to deepen your experience in game development – this could be the perfect fit for you.

Your Responsibilities

• As a Junior Game Developer (m/f/d) you will support the development and maintenance of slot machine games for casino platforms using Unity.
• You’ll implement gameplay features and logic together with Producers, Game Mathematicians, and Artists in an Agile (Scrum) environment.
• Moreover, you will contribute to maintaining code quality and learn how to write performant and maintainable code.
• In addition, you will assist in implementing software architecture and scalable systems while applying best practices in game development under guidance from senior team members.
  
  

Your profile

• First experience with Unity
• Basic to solid knowledge of C# and understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Interest in developing casino games, especially slot machines
• Fluent in English, German is nice to have
• Willingness to learn, work independently, and grow as a strong team player
