Senior DevOps Engineer | AWS, Security & Automation

This is an opportunity for a senior DevOps engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, improving security posture, and working closely with collaborative engineering teams in a modern AWS environment.

You’ll be joining a tight-knit team focused on cloud infrastructure, networking, automation, and centralised platform services — with the freedom to explore emerging AWS technologies and AI-assisted tooling while helping shape the future of the platform.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and improving AWS infrastructure, networking, firewall, and security capabilities
• Collaborating across engineering teams on large-scale platform initiatives
• Contributing to infrastructure-as-code maturity and automation practices
• Supporting secure, scalable CI/CD and cloud engineering practices
• Participating in cross-team technical initiatives and operational improvements
• Working across both BAU and project delivery in a production environment
• Exploring AI and automation opportunities within engineering workflows

What We’re Looking For

• Strong AWS engineering and networking experience
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles
• Familiarity with Essential 8 highly regarded
• Hands-on mindset with strong troubleshooting capability
• Experience working in production environments
• Development or scripting background
• Exposure to AI/GenAI tools or strong interest in adopting emerging technology
• Collaborative, pragmatic, and low-ego approach
• Strong communication skills and willingness to contribute across the team

Bonus Experience

• Ability to read and review code
• Experience managing or supporting test environments
• Exposure to AWS Bedrock or AI-assisted development tools

Contract Details

• 6-month contract with strong extension potential
