Linux Administrator / Infrastructure Support (Temp - 1 Month)

We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator / Infrastructure Support Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in managing both physical servers and virtual machine (VM) environments. The ideal candidate should have solid Linux administration experience and be comfortable handling deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support activities across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and deploy Ubuntu/Linux servers from scratch on physical hardware
• Perform system hardening and implement OS baseline configurations
• Configure and manage NTP services for time synchronization
• Create, maintain, and manage physical server inventory records
• Handle firmware upgrades and maintenance of:
• BIOS
• RAID Controllers
• iLO / iDRAC and related components
• Administer Linux users, groups, and permissions
• Configure and manage:
• Disk partitioning
• LVM
• Storage administration
• Manage package installations and repositories using APT/YUM, including offline package deployments
• Monitor and analyze system logs (journalctl, syslog) and troubleshoot issues
• Diagnose and resolve boot-related issues and perform recovery procedures
• Configure and maintain SSH-based secure remote access
• Provide onsite technical support across various locations as required

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience supporting both physical servers and virtualized environments
• Hands-on expertise in Linux Administration (Ubuntu/Linux)
• Experience with server hardware management and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of storage management and system recovery processes
• Good understanding of Linux networking and security concepts
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Willingness to travel and support multiple sites across UAE
